Gum Loong is parading at the Begonia Parade on Monday, 9th March starting at 10.50am. Children in Grade 4-6 are invited to help parade to carry the dragon body. Smaller children are welcome to walk along with the school on the day with parents.
We also welcome any parents to be our helpers on the day.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Science Week was an absolute blast!
On Monday we had our resident scientists Mrs Romeril and Mr Tait perform some amazing experiments for the whole school.
Tuesday was Science Book Parade day - we saw some amazing costumes across the school!
Wednesday was a brilliant Terrific Teams day - everyone agrees it was one of the best ones yet. The students got a chance to create rockets, taste sherbet, solve a crime using fingerprinting, produce some amazing lava and some galaxy slime…!
On Thursday and Friday, the 3/4s and 5/6s visited Ballarat Secondary for action packed days, learning about physics, chemistry and biology. Meanwhile, the Prep and 1/2 students went all the way to Melbourne to see some dinosaurs!

The 5/6 iPad class have been working hard all term to produce 7 episodes of Pelican Television. Each group chose an event or aspect of the school to cover. The project included writing the scripts, filming over many weeks, sharing roles and ideas and editing it all together. They have done a fantastic job and we can't wait until Season Two next term!
